It's always sad to see old computers technically being able to go on the internet but because they can't run a modern browser they can't open any webpages.

So I decided to make this website retro-friendly.

Well, not this exact one. When targeting Netscape Navigator 2.02 and Internet Explorer 1.0 (and newer) there's a lot of stuff you just can't do. IE doesn't do CSS at all. Netscape does, but poorly.

A lot of modern File Formats are out of the question. Playing web-videos would be a bad idea anyways on old hardware, but pictures are complicated to.

For this reason I decided to create a separate domain (hosted on the same Server) that does only http and delivers a site optimized for old browsers:

http://retro.dekkia.com

A modern browser might not be able to view the page at all, because it intentionally lacks SSL. But something oldshool will work just fine.

Because I don't want to lock out people who don't have access to old tech, here's a few screenshots and photos on different browsers and platforms:
